Tirana Mayor Veliaj's Trial Postponed, Defense Attorney Fined for Absence

The trial for Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj was postponed due to the absence of his defense attorney, Plarent Ndreca, who was subsequently fined 50,000 lek. Ndreca criticized the court for unilaterally imposing the pace and infringing on the right to independent defense, while a new attorney was appointed for the mayor.
