Youth slits 16-year-old girl’s throat for rejecting marriage proposal in Andhra Pradesh

A 19-year-old man allegedly murdered a 16-year-old girl by slitting her throat after she refused his marriage proposal. The accused, Venkatesh, was arrested by police shortly after the incident. The girl's family and women's groups are protesting, demanding justice and severe punishment.
