Geophysicists Confirm Czech Tremor Caused by Quarry Blast, Not Earthquake
Seismic stations in the Czech Republic and Europe recorded an earth tremor on Thursday, which geophysicists later confirmed was caused by a routine industrial blast at the Čertovy schody quarry near Beroun, rather than a natural earthquake. The Geophysical Institute of the Academy of Sciences issued a statement clarifying the event.
