NASA's Curiosity Rover Discovers Extensive Hexagonal Structures on Mars

NASA's Curiosity rover has found unusual hexagonal structures, known as "polygonal cracks," covering a large area on Mars. While these structures have been observed before, this is the first time they have been seen covering such an extensive surface on the Red Planet, discovered during the rover's ascent of Mount Sharp.
