Golden Jackals Could Colonize Three-Quarters of Europe
A study led by Slovenian and French scientists suggests that the extermination of wolves in the 19th and 20th centuries was key to the spread of golden jackals across Europe. The research also found that jackals use areas near settlements for protection.
