Philippine Senator Files Bill to Extend Local Officials' Terms

Senator Francis 'Chiz' Escudero has filed a Senate bill proposing to extend the terms of barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in the Philippines from four to five years. If enacted, the measure would also reschedule the next elections.
