Earthquake Causes Suspension of Joetsu and Hokuriku Shinkansen Services
JR East announced that due to a recent earthquake, services on the Joetsu Shinkansen between Omiya and Niigata stations, and on the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Omiya and Nagano stations, have been suspended for safety checks. Resumption of services is expected around 9:45 PM.
