Reconstruction "Worse than I imagined" Nearly 30% [15th Anniversary Survey of the Earthquake]

To mark the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, NHK surveyed residents of the affected areas about the current state of town reconstruction. Nearly 30% responded that it was "worse than they had imagined." Reasons cited included the liveliness of the town and the adequacy of commercial facilities. Experts point out that "reconstruction in terms of economy and daily life takes time, and support must continue while grasping changing needs."
