Ölgerðin lagði íslenska ríkið í Héraðsdómi Reykjavíkur á föstudag í svokölluðu Somersby-máli. Vildi ríkið að aðrar bragðtegundir af Somersby en sú upprunalega væru í sama flokki og sterk vín. Ekki er þó munur á áfengismagni eftir bragðtegundum á Somersby.
