Six WVC teams prepped for second round

Mar. 9—All in all, the Wyoming Valley Conference fared quite well in the first round of the PIAA state basketball playoffs. Only the Wilkes-Barre Area boys saw their season end. Six others continued on to the second round where five teams play Tuesday and one on Wednesday. The road to the championships in Hershey remains long. Three more victories are needed to get there.
