Ramiro Valdés, a prominent figure in the Cuban Revolution and a close associate of Fidel Castro, has died at the age of 94. Valdés was one of the last surviving heroes of the revolution, served as a former intelligence chief, and was the second commander of Che Guevara's guerrilla column.
