Lithuanian Official Calls for Review of Language Inspector's Remarks on Derogatory Terms

Kęstutis Vilkauskas, Chairman of the Seimas Culture Committee, has called on the Ministry of Culture to evaluate statements made by Audrius Valotka, head of the State Language Inspectorate, who controversially deemed the words "negras" and "čigonas" (derogatory terms) permissible.
