Icelandic Glaciers Retreat Significantly in 2024-2025
Measurements by the Glacier Research Society show that most Icelandic glacier snouts retreated during the 2024-2025 glacier year. The most significant changes were observed in the larger outlet glaciers of Vatnajökull, Langjökull, and Mýrdalsjökull.
