Kumamoto River Embankments Damaged by Earthquake, Typhoon Warning Issued
River embankments in Kumamoto Prefecture have suffered damage, including subsidence and cracks, due to recent earthquakes. With Typhoon No. 13 expected to bring rain from September 6th, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is rushing emergency repairs and urging increased vigilance against rising river levels.
