Iris Long, Scientific Mentor to AIDS Activists, Dies at 92
Iris Long, a chemist who lent her expertise in drug research to the AIDS activist organization ACT UP and helped accelerate the approval of H.I.V. and AIDS treatments, has passed away at the age of 92.
