Czech Republic to Support Suspension of EU Emissions Trading System

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced that the Czech Republic will support Italy's proposal at the European Council to suspend the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS 1) for energy, heavy industry, and aviation.

Česko chce na Evropské radě podpořit italský návrh pozastavit uplatňování systému emisních povolenek (EU ETS 1) týkající se energetiky, velkého průmyslu a letecké dopravy. V pondělí to řekl po jednání vlády premiér Andrej Babiš (ANO). Chce také navrhnout cenový strop a vyjmout ze systému energeticky náročná odvětví. Evropská rada se bude konat 19. až 20. března v Bruselu.
