W Polsce nie mamy zdefiniowanych bardzo wielu pacjentów chorujących na ataksję Friedreicha. Nie wiemy, ilu pacjentów żyje z tą chorobą i nie potrafimy ich wskazać z imienia i nazwiska – mówi prof. Bartosz Karaszewski, konsultant krajowy w dziedzinie neurologii.
