School Absences at Age 13 Linked to Poorer Leaving Certificate Results, ESRI Study Finds
A study by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) indicates that even short absences of three days or less from school at age 13 can negatively affect a student's Leaving Certificate results, as well as their health, wellbeing, and social connectedness.
