Kannada actor Rajkumar abduction: Madras HC upholds acquittal of 9 Veerappan aides

The Madras High Court has dismissed the Tamil Nadu government's appeal against the acquittal of nine aides of forest brigand Veerappan in the 2000 Kannada actor Rajkumar abduction case. A trial court had acquitted the surviving nine accused in September 2018, a decision now upheld by the High Court after a five-year appeal process.
