Vláda chystá změny v systému ochrany dětí. Vzniknout má nový úřad pro rodinu a ochranu dětí, chystá se větší odborná podpora OSPODu i nový informační systém. Plán na jednotné vedení podporuje i dětský ombudsman Martin Beneš. Podle Davida Karla z ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí se směrem k dětem a občanům nic nemění. V Ranním Plusu vysvětluje, že změna se má týkat odborné složky a pracovníkům OSPODu by pomohla třeba s administrativou.
