Japan's LDP Approves Draft Bill to Punish Flag Desecration

Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has largely approved a draft bill that would criminalize acts of damaging the national flag. The party plans to proceed with internal procedures and submit the bill to the current Diet session in cooperation with the Japan Innovation Party.
