The number of wolves in the Netherlands continues to grow, with a total of 131 individual wolves identified last year and fourteen packs counted.

Het aantal wolven in Nederland blijft toenemen. Uit cijfers van BIJ12, de organisatie die voor provincies alle zaken rond wolven in Nederland monitort, blijkt dat vorig jaar 131 verschillende wolven zijn geïdentificeerd. Dat zijn er dertig meer dan in 2024. Het merendeel van de groei (70 procent) komt door de geboorte van welpen in al bestaande wolvenroedels, zo meldt BIJ12.
