Austria's National Council has approved a fuel price brake with votes from the government parties ÖVP, SPÖ, NEOS, and the opposition Greens, following an announcement of support from Green Party leader Eleonore Gewessler.

Nationalrat stimmt für Spritpreisbremse

Mit den Stimmen der Regierungsparteien ÖVP, SPÖ, NEOS und den oppositionellen Grünen ist am Mittwoch die Spritpreisbremse beschlossen worden. Grünen-Chefin Eleonore Gewessler hatte erst am Mittwoch die Zustimmung der Grünen bekanntgegeben und damit dem Gesetz die notwendige Zweidrittelmehrheit verschafft.
