Mobile Phone Payments Surpass Contactless Card Payments in Netherlands
Paying with mobile phones at checkout has overtaken contactless payments made with traditional debit cards in the Netherlands. Last year, nearly six out of ten in-store payments were made using a smartphone or smartwatch, according to new figures.
