Debate Over Seizing Social Welfare for Fines Divides Slovenian Politics

A provision in the 'Šutar law' allowing the Financial Administration (Furs) to seize social welfare benefits for fines after three offenses in two years is causing division among political parties and the public in Slovenia, with the measure currently before the Constitutional Court.
