Lithuanian Parliament Member Calls for Dialogue Amidst Protests Against LRT Law Amendments

Juozas Olekas, who led the working group for new amendments to Lithuania's national broadcaster law, has urged initiators of protests against the changes to engage in dialogue, stating that burning bonfires will not lead to a solution.

Balandį rengiant protestą prieš naująsias Lietuvos nacionalinio radijo ir televizijos (LRT) įstatymo pataisas, jas rengusiai darbo grupei vadovavęs Seimo pirmininkas Juozas Olekas iniciatorius ragina kalbėtis, o ne protestuoti. Pasak jo, „einant ir degant laužus“ situacija neišsispręs.
