Ramon Chacon, the general commissioner of the Mossos d'Esquadra, has expressed regret over the spread of hoaxes on social media concerning a crime in Esplugues. He acknowledged a "tragic week" in Catalonia with three murders but noted a 20% decrease in homicides overall.
