METI to Propose Radioactive Waste Survey on Minamitorishima Island
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) plans to propose a literature survey, the first stage of investigation for a high-level radioactive waste final disposal site, on Minamitorishima Island in Ogasawara Village, Tokyo. METI officials are scheduled to visit Ogasawara Village to make the proposal.
