Lufthansa says it'll exercise option to take ITA stake up to 90%

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 12 - Lufthansa said Tuesday that it will exercise its option to buy an additional 49% of ITA Airways from the Italian government in June for 325 million euros, taking its stake up to 90%. ITA is the slimmed-down successor to Alitalia, and was set up in 2020 after the long loss-making former flag-carrier went bankrupt.
