Hantavirus Andes variant confirmed on 'Hondius' ship, human transmission suspected
A Swiss passenger has been confirmed with the contagious Andes variant of the Hantavirus, contracted on the 'Hondius' ship, raising concerns about human-to-human transmission. Three infected passengers, including a German national, were airlifted for treatment.
