Ukrainian Navy to Acquire Five Mine Countermeasure Vessels by 2026

The Ukrainian Navy is set to have five mine countermeasure vessels in service by June 2026, with the Netherlands currently training the crew for the minehunter Zr. Ms. Makkum, which will be transferred to Ukraine and renamed Henichesk.

As of June 2026, the Ukrainian Navy will have five mine countermeasure vessels in service. In particular, the Netherlands is currently training the crew of the minehunter Zr. Ms. Makkum, which will be renamed Henichesk and transferred to Ukraine in June.
