Prague's Petřín Funicular to Reopen in September After Two-Year Reconstruction

The Petřín funicular in Prague, which originally began operation 135 years ago, is set to reopen in September after a two-year reconstruction. The modernized funicular will offer driverless operation and improved views of the city.

Přesně před 135 lety začala v Praze jezdit lanovka na Petřín. Původně ji poháněl vodní mechanismus. Od té doby ji bylo potřeba několikrát přestavět nebo opravit. Zatím poslední rekonstrukce začala před dvěma lety. V září by se lanovka měla vrátit do provozu. Technici aktuálně provádějí kontrolní jízdy.
