Vienna increases tourist tax to maintain public services
Vienna is raising its tourist tax on overnight stays to 5%, with a further increase to 8% planned for 2027, aiming to fund "first-class" public services. This makes Vienna's tourist tax among the highest in Europe, second only to Amsterdam.
