Mobile Phone Use While Driving Caused Over 12,000 Accidents in Three Years in Portugal

The use of mobile phones while driving has led to more than 12,000 accidents in Portugal over the past three years. The PSP warns that looking at a phone for just three seconds is equivalent to driving 42 meters without seeing the road, with fines up to 1250 euros.
