Poland Plans No-Hunting Zone Near National Park After Bird Deaths

Following reports of birds dying from gunshots near the Ujście Warty National Park, Poland's Ministry of Climate and Environment plans to establish a no-hunting zone in half of the park's buffer area to protect game animals.

Połowa otuliny Parku Narodowego Ujście Warty ma być strefą bez polowań na ptaki. Ministerstwo Klimatu i Środowiska chcą utworzyć tam strefę ochrony zwierząt łownych. Od lat przy samej granicy parku myśliwi strzelają do wylatujących z chronionego obszaru gęsi i kaczek. Budzi to niezgodę przyrodników.
