AMA launches pilot waste programme alongside Agbogbloshie Market clean-up

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has rolled out a large-scale clean-up exercise at Agbogbloshie Market to tackle growing sanitation challenges in the busy trading enclave. The exercise, which coincided with the monthly sanitation day, saw workers clearing heavily clogged gutters filled with plastics, bottles, and other debris. Speaking on the clean-up, AMA’s Director of Waste Management, Solomon Noi, highlighted the persistent waste management issues affecting the market.
