Chandrayaan-2 Mission Detects Possible Subsurface Ice on Moon
India's Chandrayaan-2 orbiter has found evidence of possible subsurface water ice in permanently shadowed regions near the Moon's poles. These areas maintain extremely low temperatures, around 25 Kelvin, making them conducive for ice preservation.
