Olomouc Region Reports 80 Lyme Disease Cases, Advises Caution

Health officials in the Olomouc region of the Czech Republic have recorded approximately 80 cases of Lyme disease in the first three months of the year and are advising residents to wear light-colored clothing as a preventative measure.

Zhruba osmdesát případů lymeské boreliózy evidují za první tři měsíce hygienici z Olomouckého kraje. Klíšťovou encefalitidu během prvního kvartálu v regionu nezaznamenali. Lidé by přesto měli být obezřetní. Počty případů obou onemocnění přenášených klíšťaty totiž každoročně stoupají s příchodem teplého počasí.
