Alaska Fjord Hit by Second Largest Megatsunami on Record

A megatsunami, estimated to be nearly 500 meters (1,578 feet) high, struck an Alaskan fjord last year, making it the second largest ever recorded. The event, triggered by a landslide, largely went unnoticed at the time but has since been studied.
