Þingmenn ríkisstjórnar og stjórnarandstöðunnar tókust á við upphaf þingfundar á Alþingi í dag undir fundarstjórn forseta. Kölluðu þar Sjálfstæðismenn eftir því að forseti Alþingis myndi ræða við ríkisstjórnina um að fresta atkvæðagreiðslu um almannatryggingamálið.
