FAC Recommends Forest Land Diversion for Mining, Defers Hydroelectric Project Decision

India's Forest Advisory Committee (FAC) has given an in-principle nod for forest land diversion for mining projects but deferred its decision on a 680 MW hydroelectric project in Arunachal Pradesh.
