Sećam se teškoća koje sam iskusio kada sam oblikovao Oru, glavnu junakinju romana Do kraja zemlje. Dve godine sam se borio s njom, ali nisam mogao da je u potpunosti spoznam. Bilo je toliko reči o njoj, ali one nisu imale živu fokusnu tačku. One nisu pokrenule taj živi puls bez koga ne mogu da verujem u lik o kome pišem: ja bez toga ne mogu.
