The Italian ambassador in Canberra presents credentials to the president of Nauru

SYDNEY, MAY 25 – The Italian ambassador to Canberra, Nicola Lener, recently presented his letters of credence to the president of the Republic of Nauru, a small Pacific island nation (11,000 inhabitants in 21 square kilometers), David Adeang. During the meeting, Ambassador Lener reiterated Italy’s support and contribution to the resilience of the region’s island nations in the face of climate change, in line with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
