Croatian Court Annuls 1945 Military Court Verdict Leading to Execution of Five Priests
After more than eight decades, the Croatian judiciary has annulled a 1945 verdict by the Military Court of the Zagreb City Command. This original verdict had condemned five priests—Valentin Bocak, Ivan Šabalja, Antun Vrančić, Ilija Živković, and Herbert Medić—to death by firing squad.
