Archaeologists Discover Large Byzantine Necropolis in Spain with Justinianic Plague Victims

Archaeological excavations in Rojales, Alicante, have uncovered the largest Byzantine necropolis on the Iberian Peninsula, revealing the remains of children who died 1,500 years ago from the Justinianic Plague, alongside tombs of very young women.
