EU Commits to 90% Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction by 2040
The European Council has officially approved a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040, compared to 1990 levels. The regulation is set to take effect 20 days after its publication in the EU's official journal.
