Sarkozy due back in court on second day of appeals trial
French former President Nicolas Sarkozy was due in court for a second day Wednesday for an appeal hearing over his conspiracy conviction last year over claims Libya helped fund his 2007 presidential campaign. On Tuesday Sarkozy told a three-judge panel that he was innocent of the charges and that “I owe the truth to the French people".
