Typhoon Inday and Southwest Monsoon Cause Widespread Damage in Philippines

Typhoon Inday (international name Muifa) and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) caused significant flooding and damage across the Philippines, resulting in 17 reported deaths and affecting over 500,000 people. The typhoon has since exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but the monsoon continues to bring rains.
