Pierre-François Veil, who embraced the mission of passing on the memory of the Holocaust, has died

A man of peace and justice, the lawyer and son of Holocaust survivor and French politician Simone Veil believed that knowledge and remembrance are essential safeguards against intolerance and hatred. The youngest son of Simone and Antoine Veil died on Wednesday night aged 72.
