HRA Urges Montenegro to Withdraw Proposed Laws on Internal Affairs and ANB

Human Rights Action (HRA) has urgently called for the withdrawal of proposed laws on internal affairs and the National Security Agency (ANB) in Montenegro, criticizing provisions that eliminate disciplinary proceedings for security obstacles and allow retroactive termination of police officers' employment.

"Vlada insistira na potpunom eliminisanju vođenja disciplinskih postupaka zbog bezbjednosnih smetnji, i omogućava prestanak radnog odnosa policijskim službenicima čak i retroaktivno, u postupcima koji nijesu završeni, na osnovu odluke komisije koju formira ministar unutrašnjih poslova i u odnosu na koju ne postoje garancije protiv političkog uticaja, a što je takođe poseban problem na koji je Evropska komisija već ukazivala"
